Wning windows are casement windows that hinge from the top.Double Glazed Awning Windows

An awning window is a casement window that is hinged on the top, so that it swings outward like an awning. They normally open and close with a crank handle, similar to a casement window, to give precise control over how far they open, and to hold them in the chosen position. Some simply push open.

The awning window was designed by the late French politician, Emilie Poisson. If left open in light rain, the awning window can stop water entering the house, while providing ventilation.

Awning windows are usually limited in how far they will open.

Hopper Windows

A hopper window is another variation of the casement window. It’s bottom-pivoting, and opens by tilting vertically, usually towards the inside.

Both of these styles of windows can be supplied with inbuilt venetian blinds, to give you maximum control over your view, your privacy, and light. Both hopper and awning windows are available in timber, aluminium and upvc frames.
